COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — The Coeur d'Alene Police Department (CDAPD) is investigating several local massage businesses for alleged illegal sexual activity and sex trafficking.
According to the CDAPD, detectives have been looking into reports of unwanted sexual touching over the past several months.
CDAPD said local prosecutors declined to pursue charges due to the nature of the cases, the city revoked the business licenses of five massage facilities: Oriental Massage Spa, Red Sea Massage, Oriental Body Work, Asia Massage, and Chinese Massage.
According to the CDAPD, the investigation also raised concerns that some employees may be victims of sex trafficking.
The Coeur d'Alene Police Department said it emphasizes its commitment to supporting legitimate businesses and pursuing charges against anyone involved in criminal sexual activity.
