I have worked in China during 6-12 months periods for the past 6-7 years.
No managment positions, more specialist engineering. Stil earn more than 5 time local managment and the chinese knows it.
Speak very limited mandarin and some cantonese.

The best thing with chinese, both male and female is that they are not shy about sex.
Something that work - all the time so far - is after maybee 2 weeks in to your serviceperiod in china you look sad or slightly depressed. Your co-workers or translator will ask what the matter is and you just frankly admit that you feel lonely and just do not know how you will manage the comming 6-12 months without a girlfriend.
Very effective is also add a comment that " - Chinese girls dont like western men " Only after a few days you probably will get the first
proposal form you coworkers, like : " I have freind from school / cousin / wifes cousin " etc etc that they want you to date.

Don't be rushed, if the first proposal is not of your taste just say she was not so beautiful, or bad english, or any other comment. More proposal will follow.
I was in Shenyang in the North in 2007 and had the most beautiful 19 year old
university student as girlfriend for 8 months. Lovely, sweet, eager to learn,
low-mainanence perfect companion. No money needed, just some presents,

My 2 rmb worth of advice
1. The married women is probably off limits. So would conentrate on the 25 yo.
2. If one of the girls does go out alone with you it is good sign.
3. When the girls are in twosomes they are trying to make sure they are safe and it looks better to any onlookers. Most Chinese will assume a young chinese girl is a hooker with a older foreign guy.
4. With regular girls they almost will never sleep with you on the first or 2nd dates. It will take 3-4 dates to get them in bed. Regular girls are looking for a relationship and want to get to know you first.
5. Regular Chinese girls are very scared of hotels and will not enter, they are afraid of hotel/police.

I speak Zero Chinese... However, want to spend a couple weeks.. in mainly 2 mongering cities.. Can someone recommend the cities..

I plan to stay at Marriots.. Will I have issues bringing girls back to room.. I read alot about the karaokee bars.. Will I survive not speaking chinese?

I would say that the odds are even money or better that the 25 year old assistant is always brought along to :
1) Deflect your attention from the married sales manager, and
2) Be a willing participant just in case you are interested in play

To answer your concerns,
1. It is normal in China to have intimate relationship with people you work with.
There is no sexual harrassment. Only problem will be if you have fun with one cannot be a butterfly in front of her. Your option will be take the girls out to a disco place. Most chinese girls love to drink. Dance with them , try your moves and see if she is responsive. Remember first time she is not responsive leave her alone. It is like romancing any other girl.

2. The 25 year old will be better chance for success. If you ask her out do not be surprised to see her friends joing you at the disco. It is normal in China. They love to party with friends and there will not be just you and her. Who knows , one of her friends may like you.

3. I have been with few regular girls in Shenzhen. Shanghai being a cosmopolitan city being with foreigners are more accepted. Sexual approach will be same as anywhere else. Flirt with her and see. Sex is not a real taboo for Chinese girls. But I have found sexually they are not in the same league as Thai and Phi girls. Thai and Phi girls love to be fucked all the time. Generally there is no need to worry that they would want you to marry them. They do not want to get out of their country unless very poor.

4. Just because you flirted with the girls it does not mean they are mad at you. If you do not score it will be normal like any other day. If you score I doubt she will tell anybody at the office. She may tell her friends outside.

I have my own company and I do import business from China. I have been visiting China at least two times in a year. I have did sex many times with bb shop girls, strretwalkers, massage girls and karaoke girls. But I never tried a regular girl in China. There are two girls working in the company that I have been doing business which is a very big company in Shanghai. One is export manager she is 31 yo, married has one boy but still very beautifull and attractive. The other is her assistant, 25 yo, very symphatic. When I visit Shanghai they never leave me alone.
