I can’t believe I need to defend OP to explain but I certainly got his point. If 18 cases can come out of a nail salon, we need to be careful going to MPs because the same scenario as nails- close contact between provider and customer, many customers in and out all day, many providers working closely.

lots of massage places east of Toronto - with no outbreaks (not yet anyway) and yet the OP puts a nail place story in here?

pretty sure there are thousands of nail salons across Ontario. Yet only one had an outbreak. So it is relatively minor.

Out of all the personal services, the risk factors are the highest at nail salons, followed by hair salons, tattoo shops and the spas. Social distancing is impossible in personal services, so masks are absolute necessary.

Nail salons are the most dangerous personal service cuz the two faces are too close to each other and most of the time they are yapping non stop. Even with their masks on, there are chances the aerosol form virus can leak out as we all know most of the masks are not air tight seal.

The spas has the least risk cuz the two faces are not too close to each other most of the time. You can still play pretty safe at spas if you follow the proper safety protocol by requesting new sheets and towels, wearing masks, shower before and after the session, applying disinfectant sprays when necessary and avoid LFK and DFK.

Well if you can't stay home and somehow believe you absolutely must get a haircut, frankly I can't see why you are any less heartless and selfish than guys going to see one attendant at a spa who will consequently be responsible for killing all the children.

It was interesting to read the big surge in cases in California is entirely due to guys visiting massage parlours... er... no wait, sorry, it's actually it's people going to family gatherings! So for the love of god if you want to save your family PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM YOUR FAMILY!!!
