CLOVIS, New Mexico (KVII) — A man armed with a machete is wanted for assaulting a woman at a massage parlor.
Around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Clovis police received a 911 call and could hear what they believed to be groaning and crying.
Officers responded to a massage parlor at 3018 N Prince St. where they found a 60-year-old woman bleeding from wounds to her head and body.
She was taken with life-threatening injuries to Plains Regional Medical Center and then transferred to hospital in Lubbock, Texas.
The suspect, Christopher Gipson, 42, is wanted for kidnapping, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, assault with Intent to commit a violent felony, and tampering with evidence.
He was last seen wearing gray sweat-type pants and is "highly tattooed" on his torso.
Gipson was in Clovis as a part of work detail for a construction group. If you see him, call the Clovis Police Department immediately.
