I've seen girls milk poor saps out of their cash in a way they've had to go to an ATM and get more and then back at the club spend that all over again.

Those ARE the customers the clubs want.
The ones that can be robbed. They will not go back, but the clubs don't care at all.

No they don't care look at all the clubs on rev.(Before the dl and bc in feb.)They had TV, picketpockets,and 20$ change trick.And they still had a endless supply of people going to those clubs.

No they where not shooting themselves in the foot before they been doing that shit for decades and making money. Everyweekend you got a new sucker and sometime you got a returning sucker.Shit I knew a guy who never heard of the zona and he been going to tj longer then me.All he did was go to rev stripclubs everyweekend until I told him about AB and CC.After his first night at CC and AB, he said he wasted alot of money on handjobs and lapdances at rev clubs,He never set foot in a rev club again.

Sampson will back me on this and Bohemian will too, cause he knows me in person: Clubs and bars don't care for customers, cause they don't even know the names of their customers, they just know the amount of money in their wallets.

If he unloads 20 dlls at the bar, even if he comes back again and again he is a no good.
But, if he is a guy that comes every each other week and unloads 500 - 1000dlls and up... wow, is he treated like a king, and even then, I asure you this big spender will be very careful how he is being charged.

One thing that keeps amazing me is that you guys believe you are shopping at Macy's when visiting TJ.

You guys are doing business with trash, robbers, thieves, what we call in Spanish "giros negros", illegal business, businesses that are open due to payoffs...

Even if am local, even if am "friends" with the managers or a "good" customer at the clubs, I always go with the idea that the businesses want to rip me off.
Going to the clubs and bars with that mentality helps. It keeps your guard up and saves you tons of money.

First of all the bars can choose their conversion rate. Some businesses are using 9.5 now as some exchanges have less than 10.0.

The Revolucion bars believe if they don't steal they cannot make money. I'm not kidding....that is the prevalent thought there.

But wouldn't it simply make much better business sense not to try to rip off the customer in the first place? That's what still has me puzzled about some of the TJ culture, especially the meseros. That's not to say that everyone in TJ engages in this type of behavior. Some of the BGs and almost all of the escorts I encountered have not behaved in this fashion. It just makes sense to me that you would want to treat the customer with the utmost respect and consideration so that they would want to return.

You have to act intelligent, not trying to confront or seemly looking for a fight, cause you are not going to win any fight at the clubs or bars.

Pay with the minimum amount, showing them that YOU know the cost of the drinks.
That's the important part: That YOU know, not that you are a fool easily being had by them.

I guess my point is that at $25 USD, in theory they are already charging a premium for using USD and not pesos. It just pisses me off that they are then charging another premium on top of the other premium for using pesos.

But as you said, the bars will try to scam you were ever they can. What really gets me going is that they act like I'm the asshole trying to cheat them or something.

Rev bars scam you everywhere. Most places including bars have a closer to the truth conversion rate. Right now there is not any advaneforum.xxxe I can see to use pesos. When the rate gets above 10 to 1, some guys like to pay the chicas in pesos, as they normally work on a 10 to 1 ratio regardless of the current rate. I used pesos last night in La Tropa and Delicias and I got 10 to 1 on them.

Save the Pesos for PVR, MZT, Cabo and Cancun. They don't want them in TJ or Ensenada. Only them greenbacks.

A few months ago we were at a Revolucion bar and I happen to have mexican money.

The waiter qouted me $25 USD for our drinks. So of course, I was like, so that's 250 pesos right? Nope... He wanted about 300 pesos. What the fuck?? Aparrently they charge a premium for using Mexican pesos in Mexico. He told me that they do not use an exchange rate of 10 to 1, but something stupid like 11 or 12 to 1.

Obviously, I just paid in dollars as I wasn't gonna give this piece of shit and his crummy, almost girl-less bar free money.

We went to another bar and the same thing happened! Again what the fuck?!

So I guess my question is why are bars charging a premium for using Mexican pesos? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

By the way, I didn't have a problem with street girls, they accept a 10 to 1 exchange rate (gotta love those chicas!).
