Why does US and Canada make a big deal of sex??

I have noticed in American and the Canadian society they generally make a very big deal about sex. You have seen it in basically every thing in Hollywood movies and shows and in overall society.. Meanwhile, in Japan sex there is a very normal thing and they have special sex tv shows and it is very open topic to talk about. I just don't get it why is sex such a big deal here. People are retarded here. I swear!..

I respectfully disagree, Columbia and Thailand are 2 of the most religious countries yet both are well known for their sex industries. Those are just two examples. I think it has more to do with the Protestant influence when they settled here and in the US. They tend to be a bit more uptight about sex. As opposed to the French Canadian Catholic ladies who tend to be more open minded, in general. Gd bless them.

If sex is normal in Japan why are there issue regarding perverts, virginity and low birth rates?

If you go to a spa in many European hotels, everyone is naked in the co-ed sauna, steam room, and hot tubs.
No one sees this as anything sexual. They are very comfortable with nudity and don't get all freaked out when they see someone of the opposite sex naked.
