A massage therapist in Halifax has been charged with sexually assaulting a client.
Police were called on Dec. 9 last year by someone reporting an alleged sexual assault that had occurred in the Halifax area during an appointment.
Sergii Kozub, 43, is facing one count of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court on April 14.
Halifax Regional Police said they are not giving out any details about the incident.

Spokesman Martin Cromwell wouldn’t say whether police believe there may be other potential victims.
“I believe the investigation is still open, that’s all I can say at the moment,” he said Thursday.
Kozub graduated from a massage therapy program in February 2023 and was registered with the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia, according to an online biography.
His name was not listed among the registered members of the association on its website as of Thursday afternoon.
While the association has a section of its site regarding complaints, it describes the process but does not list complaints or people sanctioned.
A spokesperson for the association was not immediately available for comment.
The website does note that because massage therapy is not currently a regulated health profession in the province, any disciplinary action taken against a member of the association can only be enforced within its membership. That means that if the association imposes action, such as putting limitations on a member or revoking their membership, the therapist could legally choose to continue working in Nova Scotia without being a member of the association.
