I hate waiting in the room!

I have. You said it, your time is valuable as well and if 15 minutes has surpassed, I believe that's too long. Even if I have no where to go, I feel it's unprofessional and they don't appreciate your business, so you shouldn't give it to them. Oh, and yes, get your room fee back.

I have never had to wait in the room more than 5-10 minutes, but I have only been to an MP a dozen or so times. I guess that means I have been pretty lucky, but I do try to increase my odds by booking a time at the start of an MPA's shift and by booking a time when the MP is usually less busy

For the most part, I'm sympathetic to the plight of the MP and the MPA, but I have often gone for a session during my lunch break or other time-constrained part of my day, and that's when it's annoying as hell. I do think MPs should tighten things up between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. weekdays for the lunch crowd who need to get back to work.

The worst one for me was at Ambassador months ago to see the legendary Rosa. I was told she'd be five minutes. I hopped in the shower and came out soaked to realize there were no towels! It was summer and the A.C. was cranked high and I stood there freezing for nearly 20 minutes. I would have left except I needed to dry off. Then Rosa came in and I rushed the session, she was great as always, but I was in too much of a hurry to really enjoy it.

That doesn't help much. I booked first session and was still made to wait over 15mins. Its the MP culture. I mean what could make you late first thing - laziness/not really caring.

When I have been made to wait more than 10min I boycott the MP for a few months. I take my business to other MP's.

honeslty thats kind of dumb. Why should people who go to mpas between those hours be treated any different than those who dont? last time i checked the fee was the same so everyone should be treated the same way. i guess i dont have your typical 9-5 job so my schedule is messed up but i shouldn't be penalized because of it

I'm not one for waiting either but on occasion it happens, My last time was at Elite in Scar and the receptionist appoligized, that the client extended {What kinda guy would do that!!!!!!], asked me if i wanted and went and got me some mags, stood and talked with me for 5-10 minutes also, made it alright.......

Bella at SRM made me wait 15m last night, I was pretty disappointed. Once you past that 10m mark, the angst starts getting on your nerves.

Now that's a receptionist that deserves every penny she gets paid.
Regarding the audibles called on the extended sessions, it's the MPA's call on whether her next appointment will be affected. Obviously, if she's looking at the short term financial gain by getting the extra money for the extended session, plus the next client, she may negatively affect the person waiting. If she's more concerned on keeping her next client happy (a potential repeat, or regular), then her decision on extending the session would be veto'd.

This happens to me three times at the same spa. And this spa is a well respected spa in the airport area. Anyway, I waited for about 15 to 20 mins in the room and I called the front desk with my cell. Funny enough all three times the receptionist admitted that she forgot to tell the MPA I was in the room.

I think its worse when you have to wait in the waiting room because of overbooking. When its a small and crowded waiting room with people constantly coming in and out it can be aquard. You just have to sit there hoping the next person to come in or out isnt someone you know lol.

Its annoying when guys go to MP's in groups of 5-10 in busy hours and delay everyone when trying to fit them all in. Its like a party in the waiting room.

Also I hate seeing the guy coming out who just had the girl that I'm about to see.
