License prices will go up, thats why the handed out dozens (hundreds?) of tickets out BEFORE the harsh landlord based shut downs.

They can see a spa willing to pay for a fuck load of tickets and still STAY OPEN.

What does this do? It provides a pretty clear stress test. If a spa was willing to pay 10k in tickets to keep the doors open, theyd prob be able to pay 20k for a license...

Of course, if they are unlicenced in the first place then not much to they can do.

By laws cannot shut down licenced establishments other then make them comply with the licencing requirements.

I am not sure about Aria since it is new but Suko? Why now? I am sure like the older places like E&M, JR, Lavender etc should be at least grandfathered in under old rules or are they all are unlicenced?

This is entitlement, laws exist. Everyone knows what is going on in 90% of these spas doesnt violate only bylaw, but also THE law. We arent talking about proof in a court of law, this is a forum, i am just saying what we ALL know ok?

To say they should lawyer up is fine and dandy, but just like not knowing what license they need, the coalition of tug bosses wont even know what they are defending against.

A lawyer given vague diections by a well meaning group is a great way to make a lawyer rich.

Facts:

1. There has been a MASSIVE increase in spas, specifically over the last 5-7y
2. There has been a massive DECREASE in trying to look covert/semi legit... in fact,
3. Semi Legit services are mostly gone, bodyslide+ type services sometimes without an offer of massage, have become the norm
4. Zero respect for norms and culture, society and citizens- there is NO reason one plaza should have as many spas as some of these do, its an eyesore especially when you factor in the above points.

Industry is due for a cleanse- more spa = more options for customer = better for customer, this is a free market fact- BUT! Without a replenshing pool of ladies who want to get into the business, the glut of spas just becomes the same girls rotating around the city.

I think if you wiped half the spas off the GTA map, it would be a much better market for clients, girls and managers.
