maximum incubation period, not the minimum.
Average incubation for the majority of people is four to six days.
Some people show symptoms one day after exposure.
98% of people show symptoms less than 12 days after exposure.
The fact that hardly anyone takes two full weeks to incubate is the reason the CDC recently changed quarantine / isolation recommendations to say seven to ten days would medically suffice in most cases...
The policy change has been discussed for some time, as scientists have studied the incubation period for the virus.
